Izindlovu Fund
Supporting Izindlovu Wildlife Fund
We were recently approached by Helen and Ben from the Izindlovu Fund in Belgium. While they were already accepting Bitcoin donations, they wanted to streamline the process, and we are now assisting them altruistically in facilitating Bitcoin payments in their webshop and for donations supporting the numerous projects they endorse. We are delighted to play our part in this initiative.
About Izindlovu Fund
“Izindlovu” is the plural of “Indlovu,” which means “Elephant” in Zulu. Izindlovu Fund translates to “The Elephant Fund.” It is a non-profit organization, recognized by the official Belgian King Baudouin Foundation, supporting projects and individuals committed to a better society. 100% of profits and received donations go towards the local field projects they endorse.
One of these projects is the HERD Elephant Orphanage. HERD is South Africa’s first specialized elephant orphanage, established in April 2019 by Adine Roode. With the increasing number of orphaned and displaced elephant calves in recent years due to a rise in elephant poaching and human-elephant conflicts, Adine Roode founded the HERD (Hoedspruit Elephant Rehabilitation & Development) Elephant Orphanage. The goal is to care for and rehabilitate orphaned baby elephants, provide them with a new family, and give them a second chance at life.
In addition to these projects, Izindlovu has recently started assisting other wildlife organizations in accepting Bitcoin as a donation option. For more information about HERD and the projects supported by Izindlovu, you can visit their website: https://www.izindlovu.org/field-projects/
